I grew up in Rockwall, Texas, near Dallas and moved to Austin in 1981 to attend the University of Texas. I graduated in 1985 with a BA degree, and in 1994, I earned a Master’s Degree in Public School Administration. I worked as a teacher for 8 years and an assistant principal for 2 years primarily in the Round Rock School District. I changed careers in 1999 and got into real estate because I’ve always wanted to run my own business. Like teaching, I still get to help people and solve problems, but I’m also free to use my creativity to get the job done right. I really enjoy what I do. It suits my personality and motivation - if that makes sense!
I’ve had the privilege to enjoy a lot of success as a real estate agent. I am an Accredited Buyer’s Representative and a member of the nationally recognized Graduate Realtor Institute. I am a certified Ecobroker and hold my Certified Negotiation Expert designation. I’ve also obtained my broker’s license and am certified to teach real estate courses to other agents. All this education has helped me remain in the top 10% of real estate agents in the Austin area for the past 10 years. I have literally sold hundreds of homes and helped many buyers and sellers get the results they want. I would sincerely enjoy helping you find your dream home or sell your property for the price you deserve.
I’ve also got a great family. My husband, Matt, is a native Austinite, and his parents have lived here since the 1950’s. Matt is a systems designer for Signature Science. We have a son, Kevin, who is 20 and attends Austin Community College. We all enjoy sailing, boating and snowboarding.
